Ein Porträt von einem Ort. Ein kontemplatives Innehalten und Verweilen. Ein Stehenbleiben, ein Schauen, ein Wahrnehmen, ein Erinnern. Der Fokus liegt auf dem Moment. Zu sehen: ein Close-up von fießendem Wasser, einem Fluss. Der Titel ist als ein Kommentar, als eine Handlung zu verstehen, welche auf die physische Präsenz eines Körpers, einer Apparatur, eines Prozesses der sich in den Film einschreibt, verweist. Durch den Verkauf einzelner Kader wird der Film im Laufe der Zeit einer permanenten Veränderung unterzogen. Die verkauften Kader werden im Film durch Schwarz ersetzt und als Zertifkat mit genauer Beschreibung von Kaderstand, Auflage, Datums und Ortsangabe, signiert, dem Käufer ausgehändigt. Erinnerungsaufnahmen entstehen. Das Kontinuum der Zeit wird dadurch unterbrochen. Stillstand. Erneut tritt die körperliche Erfahrung ins Zentrum.
Ein selbstreflexiver Loop.

*Die Arbeit ist als Serie konzipiert. Im Laufe der Jahre sollen weitere Orte/Gewässer, an denen ich mich befinde und die mich faszinieren,
vereinzelt porträtiert werden.

It is an early proposal for a Box/Hybride, an object which it’s use is shared between storage and display. I have experienced that it is necessary to construct your own equipment and possibly make a support that can travel along the work and with you. I can easily carry this display around! From one place to another from one institution to another.”

Two years ago I met Adnan from Size Matters and last year he wrote and introduced me to Susanne Miggitsch who was on her way to spend a few months in London and suggested that we maybe meet and think about a two person show. Susanne was filming the sea and the canals and rivers around London and I had been trying to photographs the sea along the places I go,
for work in England or else as a way to start working ona book with sea images, images where I tried to immerse myself in the water trying to forget the fact that I was representing something, its meaning, history, aestheticism… but rather focus and enjoy the act of taking pictures, the closeness and following a phenomenon that is independent and in constant movement. The book covers a period of two years and the seas are from Folkstone, Leigh-on-sea, Hastings, Devon, Brighton and places around Sardinia.
