Die Idee
Mit den Ereignissen rund um Covid-19 musste der Ausstellungsraum
SIZE MATTERS . Raum für Kunst & Film seit 2020 fast alle Ausstellungen absagen. Als Reaktion – und aufgrund der Unvorhersehbarkeit der nächsten Monate – hat SIZE MATTERS neue Formen des Ausstellens und der Begegnung geplant.
SIZE MATTERS goes private
Neun Künstlerinnen bzw. Teams haben neun Kunstwerke geschaffen,
die ihre Reise antreten. Die Ausstellung wird wandern, jedes Monat
in ein anderes Zuhause. Jeder Haushalt kann sich bewerben. Die jeweiligen Gastgeber_innen können ihre persönlichen Gäste empfangen. Kunst zu Hause. Ganz privat. Ohne finanziellen Aufwand. Voller Glamour.
Nach ungefähr einem Monat zieht die Ausstellung weiter, in den nächsten Haushalt. Ein speziell entwickelter Koffer von Lukas Klestil beherbergt die Kunstwerke und ermöglicht das Reisen. Eine Broschüre zu den Werken wandert mit. Nach einem Jahr kommt die Ausstellung wieder zurück, die Werke gehen entweder zurück zu den jeweiligen Künstler_innen oder wurden verkauft.

With the events surrounding Covid-19, the exhibition space
SIZE MATTERS . Space for Art & Film has had to cancel almost all exhibitions since 2020. As a reaction – and due to the unpredictability of the next months — SIZE MATTERS has planned new forms of exhibiting and meeting.
SIZE MATTERS goes private
Nine artists or teams have created nine works of art that will begin their journey. The exhibition will travel, each month to a different home. Any household can apply. The respective hosts can receive their personal guests. Art at home. Completely private. Without financial expenditure. Full of glamour. After a month, the exhibition moves on to the next household. A specially designed suitcase by Lukas Klestil houses the artworks and allows them to travel.A special brochure with all the artworks accompanies the exhibition. After a year, the exhibition returns, the artworks go back to the artists or will be sold.
